Three Muslim Youths Attacked, Forced to Chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in Maharashtra

Bhiwandi: In a shocking incident of hate crime, three Muslim youths were violently assaulted by a mob in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, on Wednesday. The victims, identified as Ghulam Dostagir, Mohammad Ayub, and Aaqif, were returning home on a motorcycle when they were confronted by a Hindu mob, reported the Siasat.

According to the victims, the mob initially attacked another individual when the trio passed by. “We saw a man being beaten by a Hindutva mob. When we tried to continue on our way, they blocked us and attacked without any reason,” Dostagir and Ayub explained.

Ayub recounted that while one of their companions managed to escape, he and Dostagir were brutally beaten and forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Both suffered serious injuries before the police arrived and intervened, rescuing the two victims. The police later escorted them to a hospital for treatment.

Dostagir’s brother expressed outrage, stating, “They targeted us simply because of our religion.” The incident has sparked a wave of anger and concern on social media, with many demanding justice and enhanced security for minority communities in India.

This attack highlights the growing trend of religious violence, with calls for swift legal action and protection for vulnerable groups becoming increasingly urgent.
