TPCC Secretary Commends Chief Minister and Police for Preventing Planned Violence in Medak

Hyderabad, June 19: In a commendable display of swift and decisive action, the Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, and the Inspector General of Police, A.V. Ranganath, successfully thwarted a planned outbreak of violence orchestrated by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and affiliated groups in Medak. The timely intervention, aimed at preventing unrest under the guise of cow protection, has been lauded by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Secretary Mohd. Saleem.

Addressing the media, Mohd. Saleem expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the Chief Minister and the police force for their prompt response, which averted potential conflict during the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, also known as Bakrid. “The rapid action by our Chief Minister and the IG of Police in arresting individuals from both sides played a crucial role in curbing the nefarious plans of the BJYM to incite violence,” Saleem stated.

Saleem highlighted the troubling rise in activities by BJP workers, the BJYM, Bajrang Dal, and other Hindutva organizations since the BJP came to power under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. These groups have been accused of targeting marginalized communities under the pretext of cow protection, often attacking individuals for transporting beef or livestock, even when proper permissions were in place.

“The BJP government appears to have given tacit approval to these anti-social elements, allowing them to take the law into their own hands,” Saleem asserted.

He called on the Chief Minister to implement stringent preventive measures against such illegal activities, regardless of the political or communal affiliations of those involved.

“The extortion and harassment by so-called cow vigilantes must be stopped. We have witnessed severe incidents of mob violence, including the hijacking of cattle, and attacks on drivers, cleaners, and farmers in northern states,” he added.

Saleem expressed his unwavering confidence in the Chief Minister’s dynamic leadership and decisive governance, voicing his belief that similar incidents in Telangana will be handled with the necessary firmness to ensure peace and progress for all residents.

In his concluding remarks, Mohd. Saleem reiterated his trust in the Chief Minister’s capability to maintain law and order, thereby fostering a safe and harmonious environment in Telangana.
