True Muslims can’t Be Ignorant, Deceitful or Dishonest: Maulana Khalid Faisal Nadwi

Ajrara: Maulana Khalid Faisal Nadwi Ghazipuri, a professor at Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama, Lucknow, addressed the audience during the third and final session of the 105th Annual General Meeting at Jamia Gulzar-e-Hussainiya. He highlighted the distinctive attributes of Islam, emphasising its universality, humanity, and resilience. He noted that Islam has the inherent strength to overcome all challenges.

Maulana Nadwi remarked that the foremost question regarding the rights of mankind (huququl-ibaad) pertains to the sanctity of life, while the first accountability regarding the rights of Allah (huququ-ul-lah) is prayer. He further stated that humans are the soul of creation, and scholars embody the exemplary conduct of Islam, whose teachings and voices must be regarded as acts of devotion. A true Muslim, he asserted, cannot be ignorant, deceitful, or dishonest.

Maulana Anis Ahmad Azad Qasmi Bilgrami expressed concern over the current wave of apostasy, describing it as the greatest challenge faced by Islam and Muslims today. Citing references to the Roman Empire, he elaborated that the Prophet’s Companions found deviation from the Sunnah to be the most formidable challenge.

Jamia Principal, Maulana Hakim Muhammad Abdullah Mughisi, spoke on the institution’s illustrious history and its service to the community.

Maulana Tawqir Ahmad Qasmi emphasised that the upbringing of children should prioritise religious education over livelihood concerns. Maulana Syed Rashid Qasmi, compared the just conduct of Prophet Moses, the noble qualities of Prophet Jesus, and the highest moral character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who responded to wrongdoing with benevolence.

Maulana Abdul Khaliq Mughisi concluded with reflections on the Prophet’s life, stressing the importance of visibly following the Sunnah, especially during challenging times.

The event concluded with the collective solemnisation of seven marriages, officiated by Maulana Mufti Muhammad Ehsan Qasmi.
