Kota: Two Muslim brothers from Kota have drawn national attention after securing identical scores in JEE Main Session I 2026. Mahroof Ahmed Khan and Masroor Ahmed Khan scored 285 out of 300, with an NTA score of 99.998. The identical twins appeared in the same shift as required under NTA rules for twin candidates.
Born on May 7, 2008, the brothers began their journey in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. In 2023, they moved to Kota to prepare for the International Science Olympiad. After experiencing the academic environment, they chose to stay and focus on engineering entrance preparation.
At Allen Career Institute, they turned daily practice into a structured competition. They studied together, attempted mock tests together, and reviewed errors together. If one made a mistake, the other analysed it. They tracked their scores and compared each attempt with previous results. This routine helped them identify weak areas and improve with precision.
Their mother, Dr Zeenat Begum, a government gynaecologist in Odisha since the 1990s, paused her career to support them. For three years, she managed their schedules, meals, and health. She described them as each other’s friend and mirror. She said their internal competition strengthened discipline and focus.
Their story reflects planning, family support, and consistent effort. In a high pressure exam system, the brothers chose collaboration within competition and achieved matching excellence.
