Two Sudanese Students Assaulted in Rajasthan

– Raheem Khan

Sikar: In a troubling incident, two Sudanese students were assaulted in Khatushyamji town, Sikar district, Rajasthan, after being misled and forced off a bus. The students, Galaledin Yusuf Adam (24) and Sedig Rabi (22), both studying at Vivekananda Global University in Jaipur, were attacked by the bus staff after a disagreement over their destination and fare.

The students had boarded a private bus from Delhi to Jaipur but were unexpectedly taken to Khatushyamji. When they realized the mistake and demanded a refund, the bus conductor, Rakhesh, along with Vijendra, Dharampal, and others, violently assaulted them with sticks and fists.

The local police arrived on the scene and provided first aid to the injured students, taking them to the Khatushyamji Sub-District Hospital for further treatment. Three suspects, including the conductor and driver, have been arrested, while one, Aryan Beniwal, remains at large.

According to SHO Rajaram Legh, the incident took place around 7 am on Saturday. The students reported that they had boarded the bus from Dhaula Kuan in Delhi the previous night, only to discover they had been taken to the wrong location. When they refused to pay an additional fare for the unexpected detour, they were dragged off the bus and beaten.

The police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Both students have since travelled to Jaipur after receiving medical care. The authorities are continuing their search for the remaining suspect involved in the assault.
