New Delhi: Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, National President of Urdu Development Organisation (UDO), has written a letter to Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, urging the government to fill the long-standing vacant permanent posts in Delhi Urdu Academy.
Dr. Khan emphasised that the primary objective of the academy is to promote Urdu language and literature, protect its heritage, and ensure its widespread dissemination. For these goals to be achieved, the government’s full cooperation is essential.
He welcomed the recent reconstitution of Delhi Urdu Academy, calling it a positive step. However, he warned that without the required staff, the academy might fail to fulfil its objectives and could even face closure in the future.
Dr. Khan strongly appealed to the Delhi government to expedite the appointment of permanent staff to ensure the effective functioning and growth of the academy.
