London : The governments of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany have jointly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, urging Israel to restore humanitarian aid and essential services.
In a statement issued on Friday, the foreign ministers of the three countries—collectively known as the E3—demanded that Israel reinstate access to water, electricity, medical care, and temporary medical evacuations in line with international humanitarian law.
Expressing deep concern over the rising civilian casualties, the ministers also called on Hamas to release Israeli hostages. They emphasized that the Israel-Palestine conflict “cannot be resolved through military means” and that a “long-lasting ceasefire” remains the only viable path to peace.
Additionally, the E3 ministers voiced shock over an incident affecting the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) building in Gaza and called for a thorough investigation.
