Bengaluru: Recognising the services of Islamic scholars, a programme was held here Monday to honour around 65 Ulama, Huffaz and Qurra from across the state.
The programme organised by Haq Shanas Foundation was presided over by Ameer-e-Shariat Karnataka Moulana Sagheer Ahmed Khan, who was titled as Faqhee-ul-Ulama by the organisers.
Naib Ameer-e-Shariat and Qazi-e-Shariat Belgaum, Moulana Mohammed Ghouse Rashadi from Raichuti; Moulana Roohul Haq Rashadi from Tiruchi; Moulana Ghayas Ahmed Rashadi, Founder Safa Baitulmal; Moulana Shaikh Nooruddin Umri from Hyderabad; Moulana Imtiaz Ahmed Rashadi from Velore and others attended as guests.
Moulana Shaikh Muneer Ahmed Rashadi, president Haq Shanas Foundation, welcomed the gathering. Hundreds of Ulema from Karnataka and neighbouring states attended the programme.
