The All India Unani Tibbi Congress (AIUTC) continues its efforts to promote Unani medicine across Maharashtra, addressing key issues faced by doctors, hakeems, practitioners, medical representatives, and manufacturers through its various wings. Under the banner of AIUTC, and with the slogan “Every Home Unani, Every Home Nourani,” programs to raise awareness about the benefits of Unani medicine are being held across the state.
In a significant event, two special programs were conducted in Malegaon under the guidance of Dr. Hakim Khalid Niazi. The first program took place at the Royal College of Pharmacy (behind Sahyog Hotel) from 11 AM to 1 PM, and the second was held at Mohammadia Tibbia College and Al-Sair Hospital from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Both programs centered around the theme “Let’s Practice Unani,” and marked the seventh felicitation ceremony for interns and graduates of the Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) course. Students were awarded certificates, trophies, shawls, and bouquets in recognition of their achievements and to encourage them in their future endeavors.
The event at Royal College of Pharmacy was presided over by Dr. M.S. Hussain. Key speakers included Dr. Hakim Khalid Niazi, Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed Usmani, Dr. S.M. Hussain, Dr. Nadeem Usmani, Haji Laiq, Dr. Anas, Dr. Akhlaq Ahmed, and Dr. Abdul Rahman, among others.
Dr. Shakeela also addressed the students, highlighting the benefits of Unani medicine and extending her best wishes for their future. The event was moderated by Bakshi Abdul Rahman.
Similarly, the event at Mansoorah Tibbia College was chaired by Dr. Zubair, with Dr. Hamid serving as the moderator and Dr. Tabish presenting the vote of thanks.
Among the notable guests were Dr. Mayuri Bichhaow, daughter of MP Shobha Tai from Malegaon, who holds an MD in Prosthodontics and serves as the Administrator of the Center of Excellence at DY Patil University, Mumbai.

These programs demonstrate the growing support for Unani medicine and aim to encourage a wider adoption of this traditional practice across India.
