New Delhi, Nov. 27: In order to make people aware of the Quran and its teachings and guidance in our daily life and to inculcate Quranic temper among individuals, the community and society and to motivate the masses, a Quran Conference was organised here Sunday. Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Director, Quran Center, is the brain behind this event.

The Quran Center was established to introduce understanding of the Quran to Muslims. The conference was also held to serve the purpose outlined by Quran Center, which started in 2011.

Dr. Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, former Vice Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, while speaking on Husband and Wife and the Quran said husband and wife is the first unit of the family from where all other relations emerge and therefore their life should be based on Quranic guidance, there should be harmonious relations with love and mutual respect for one another. Any kind of difference among them will ultimately have negative impact on children.

According to him, good parenting is possible only if both of them have understood Islam and have implemented the Quranic teachings and Sunnah in their daily life. Without it there will be no peace at home and it will have an adverse impact in the family.

Hakim (Dr) Ziauddin Ahmed Nadwi, while emphasizing on health and well-being under the guidance of  the Quran and Sunnah said we can create a peaceful and healthy society through the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah and through which we can pull out our society from ignorance, poverty, disease and egoistic nature and from the ills of society.

The purpose of sending Quranic revelation and the Prophet to make individuals and society based on it is to make them healthy, happy and peaceful and live a life where one is not remorseful thereafter.  While citing WHO on Health, he said, Health is a complete, physical, mental and social well-being not merely absence of disease. In this regard, it is important to find out the teachings of the Quran and to follow it for the creation of a healthy society.

Dr Kamran Khan, Surgical Oncologist, who used to do robotic surgery from Mumbai and who has established Oncology Care Foundation, while speaking on Al Khaliq: Quran Insaniyat and Science said most of the scientists are atheist and most of religious leaders talk in unscientific language. The Almighty has given two best knowledge sources – the Quran and science. The Quran is not a book of science; however, it gives scientific approach and thinking.

He further said, the Almighty Allah has created a fine balance on earth, among planets and stars; in the same way, there is a balance in our body, balance in our immune system, functioning of cells. But we humans have tried to disturb that balance and the results we can see in our environment and in our body.

Saqib Ghafoor Parekh and Dr. Aqeel Ahmad also addressed the gathering and shed light on the teachings the Quran and its importance in our life.
