Aligarh: Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education, Government of India, has appreciated Aligarh Muslim University’s march held on Friday under the Rashtra Pratham campaign, which aimed to express solidarity with the Indian armed forces and their retaliatory actions under “Operation Sindoor” against Pakistan’s misadventure.
In a message posted on his X profile on Saturday, Shri Pradhan lauded AMU students for their unequivocal support to the brave armed forces who are rendering exemplary service in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and peace.
Praising AMU’s participation in the Rashtra Pratham campaign, Shri Pradhan said, “With a sense of ‘#RashtraPratham’, students of Aligarh Muslim University have extended their unwavering support to the Indian Armed Forces. Our soldiers are protecting our borders; let us also do our bit to protect our country internally. I call upon my dear students and faculty from all central and state educational institutions to come together to make our communities aware and alert about safety protocols, counter rumours, and boost the morale of our armed forces. In this moment of national unity, let us all be united and respond together!”
AMU Vice Chancellor, Prof Naima Khatoon, said, “AMU has always been an important pillar of nation-building, and the Rashtra Pratham campaign has provided us with a meaningful platform to express our commitment to our beloved country. It is a moment of pride for the entire AMU fraternity that our students’ efforts have been acknowledged by the Hon’ble Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.”
She further added that this journey of nation-building and solidarity with the country’s welfare will always remain the University’s primary goal.
AMU Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof Mohd Mohsin Khan, also expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Minister of Education for appreciating the dedicated march by AMU students in solidarity with the courageous armed forces of the nation.
