Mumbai: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Mumbai Metro, organised a grand public meeting at Millat Nagar, which witnessed the participation of approximately 1,100 people. The event aimed to shed light on the prevailing circumstances and the role of Muslims.
Delivering the presidential address, Maulana Waliullah Saeedi Falahi, Vice President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind spoke on “What Should Muslims Do in the Current National Scenario?”
He said, “In the present circumstances, Muslims must promote unity and strengthen their character to the extent that no storm can obstruct their path.”
He further stated, “Along with fortifying our faith, we must also establish ourselves in the fields of education and economy.”
Maulana stressed that “Muslims must face current political and social challenges with wisdom, patience, and foresight.”
He added, “We must embrace everyone with tolerance and strive to become beneficial members of society through active engagement.”
Senior Jamaat leader, Rashid Khan, spoke on “The Mission of the Muslim Ummah and Its Responsibilities.”
He stated, “The true mission of the Muslim Ummah is to establish Allah’s religion on His earth, and we must dedicate all our energies to achieving this goal.”
He further emphasised, “The Muslim Ummah needs to refine its character and conduct to present itself as an exemplary nation before the world.”
Maulana Mohammad Shameem Akhtar Nadwi (President, Jamiat Ulama Palghar District) spoke on “Social Issues and Our Attitude.” He highlighted fundamental aspects, “We must adopt principles in our collective lives that provide solutions to societal problems and improve our behaviour in light of Islamic teachings.”
He added, “Our greatest weakness today is that we have separated our personal lives from religion, leading to the escalation of social issues.”
Commenced with recitation and interpretation of Quranic verses by Mahfuz Siddiqui, the programme concluded with a heartfelt prayer.
