Urdu Development Organisation Appeals to NCPUL for Immediate Action

Call to Remove Obstacles in the Promotion of Urdu; Concern Among Literary and Academic Circles

New Delhi: The President of Urdu Development Organisation, Dr. Syed Ahmad Khan, has urged the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) to immediately complete the pending tasks related to the promotion of Urdu. He stated that schemes and projects designed for the development of Urdu language and literature have been stalled for a long time, causing serious difficulties for writers, students, teachers, and educational institutions.

In his statement, Dr. Syed Ahmad Khan said that despite the reconstitution of the Council, administrative sluggishness continues, adversely affecting financial assistance, publication projects, training programs, and other developmental activities. He demanded that the institution’s functioning be made effective without delay, that a financial committee be constituted, and that the approval process for pending proposals and projects be expedited.

He further stated that the dream of promoting Urdu can only be realised when the concerned institutions function efficiently and take concrete steps to encourage literary and educational activities. Dr. Khan expressed hope that the government and the concerned ministry would take the matter seriously and initiate positive action soon, so that the mission of promoting Urdu across the country can move forward effectively.
