Mysore: Three level examinations – ‘Urdu Dani’, ‘Urdu Zaban Dani’ and ‘Urdu Insha’ were jointly conducted by Idara-e-Adbiyat-e-Urdu and Abid Ali Khan Education Trust through the daily ‘Siasat’ Hyderabad in Majestic School here. Total 93 students passed out these exams this year.
Certificates and prize distribution ceremony was held in the same school on Thursday. Retired professor of Maharani’s College Prof. Mohammed Jafer admired efforts of the organisers in promotion of the Urdu literature and improving the standard of education in general.
He was deeply moved by the speech of a student Rahila and could not resist in offering cash prize from his own self.
Prof. Nematulla Khan, supervisor of the examinations, was delighted with the performance of this centre in Mysore. He gave away prizes to five students in each category for their outstanding performance. Speaking on the occasion, he emphasised conducting a quiz on religious knowledge.
Syed Shafi Ahmed, secretary of Majestic School stressed promotion of Urdu language which in turn protects our culture too, he said.
