New Delhi: In a statement on the bright future of Urdu, Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, National President of the Urdu Development Organisation, said that despite oppression and unfavourable circumstances, the Urdu language will continue to shine not only in India but also at the global level because of its strength and charm.
He further said that the youth are adopting Urdu for personality development and a better future. Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan emphasised that at the national level, Urdu is a language of communication. However, he regretted that today’s short-sighted leaders fail to recognise the importance of Urdu, as they lack foresight and are afflicted with opportunism.
He expressed particular disappointment at the leaders of Delhi’s walled city, lamenting that they are becoming unfamiliar with their own language, while the world is moving forward to embrace Urdu.
