Mewat: The Human Welfare Foundation inaugurated the Vision Academic City in Maroda village, marking a significant step toward transforming one of Haryana’s most underdeveloped regions. Spread across 24 acres, the project is part of the Vision 2026 programme and aims to provide affordable education, healthcare, and community services.
Local MLA Mamman Khan described the new campus as a “blessing” for Mewat and assured full support for its educational initiatives.
Patron of the Human Welfare Foundation and founder of the Gulfar Group, P. Mohammed Ali, recalled that the idea of Vision 202 was first proposed in 2005. “We will continue working for the educational and social upliftment of this region,” he said. T. Arif Ali, Chairman of Vision 2026, underlined the sacrifices of Mewat’s people and said it was time to fulfil the aspirations of their forefathers.
Mewat continues to struggle with poor literacy rates, lack of healthcare, and weak sanitation systems. Vision Academic City has been designed to address these pressing challenges through modern facilities and structured programmes.
The inauguration saw the opening of Al Jamia Islamia Mewat Off-Campus, an undergraduate college building, Chirag Middle School, and separate hostels for boys and girls. Foundation stones were also laid for Scholar School and a Skill Development Centre to equip youth with employable skills.
The ceremony included cultural activities such as the “Tarang” Cultural Fest, Mewat Kitchen, and the Mewat Heritage Wall, which celebrated the region’s traditions and identity.
Prominent figures at the event included MLA Mamman Khan, P. Mohammed Ali, and retired IPS officer Maqbool Ahmed Anarwala. Educationists, community leaders, and other dignitaries also attended.
Speakers highlighted the urgent need for quality education and skill training in Mewat. They noted that Vision Academic City would not only provide infrastructure for learning but also expand opportunities for higher education and research.
The programme concluded with a pledge to make Vision Academic City a hub of knowledge, progress, and cultural pride for the region.
