By M Rafi Ahmed

Habeebi, a real-life story neatly weaved into a reel format. Kudos to the entire cast and crew for bringing to the fore the Islamic way of life laced with a simple and strong love knot spun around the hero and heroine.

Filmed based on Kallidaikurichi in Tirunelveli district weaving community, mostly Muslim artisans, the director chose to capture the happenings at a household belonging to a temple priest.

The lead characters besides the supporting team have exhibited their innate talents to make it lively.

The crux of the story revolves around weaving community people due to machination flying abroad in search of greener pastures even while portraying the love affair in a light way.

All credit goes to re-recording, musical score for montage song sequences. It is pertinent to point out the strong dialogue delivery by the dubbing artistes.

Director Meera Kathiravan alias Abul Hasan and story writer V S Mohamed Ameen needs special mention for their untiring effort in the making of this PADAM (movie) which is definitely a PAADAM (Lesson) to the viewers of all ages.
