Tehran, July 3: Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Nouri Hamedani has sharply criticized the international community for its lack of response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Speaking at the 8th edition of the international conference on “American Human Rights from the Viewpoint of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution” held at the University of Tehran, the senior Shia scholar highlighted the severe conditions faced by the people of Gaza due to the Israeli regime’s offensive.
In his address, Grand Ayatollah Hamedani detailed the devastating impact of the conflict, noting that thousands of children and civilians have been killed and many more injured over the past nine months. He emphasized the dire situation of over two million displaced people in Gaza, struggling with acute shortages of food and water, exacerbated by Israeli blockades on international aid.
“Where is the human conscience?” Hamedani questioned, pointing out the complicity of some Muslim countries that continue to maintain ties with the United States, Israel’s primary ally, instead of supporting the oppressed Gazans. He underscored Iran’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause, calling for collective action from all Muslim nations to address the crisis effectively.
The conference served as a platform to highlight broader issues of human rights violations attributed to the United States, with speakers shedding light on various global injustices. Hamedani’s speech aimed to bring international attention to the plight of Gaza and to urge a stronger, unified response from the global community.
