21 May 2024: The Women’s Initiative to Nurture Growth of Society (WINGS) Palakkad Chapter has been officially launched, marking a significant step towards empowering Muslim women professionals. National Secretary Rahmathunnissa A. inaugurated the ceremony, highlighting WINGS’ commitment to professional and spiritual upliftment.
In her inaugural address, Rahmathunnissa A. emphasized the critical role WINGS plays in the advancement of Muslim women.
State Vice President Adv. Farida Ansari delivered the keynote speech, stressing the importance of harnessing women’s professional skills for societal benefit. The event was presided over by District Patron Fazila Teacher, with Alathur Mass College Vice-Principal Safia Sarafiya leading the closing ceremony.
Dr. SM Shabana and Mount Seena School Principal Ms. Jumana Hasin have been appointed President and Secretary of the new chapter, respectively. Their leadership is expected to steer the chapter’s initiatives in alignment with WINGS’ mission and values.
In her address, Rahmathunnissa A. outlined the primary focus areas for WINGS:
– Professional Upliftment: Enhancing the careers and professional skills of members.
– Spiritual Enrichment: Fostering spiritual growth and understanding among members.
– Resource Utilization: Leveraging members’ talents and resources to serve and empower society.
Rahmathunnissa emphasized that serving society is a fundamental duty for Muslim women, not an option.
WINGS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the holistic growth and development of women, thereby nurturing societal advancement. The organization’s vision and mission are clear:
