Yati Narsinghanand Booked for Hate Speech against the Prophet

Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad police booked the controversial Hindu priest Yati Narsinghanand on Thursday for delivering hate speech against Prophet Muhammad ﷺ during an event at Hindi Bhawan in Lohia Nagar on September 29. An FIR was filed under Section 302 of the BNS, following a complaint from police sub-inspector Trivendra Singh.

Sachin Kumar, the Station House Officer at Sihani Gate Police Station, stated that authorities acted after a video of the alleged hate speech went viral. The remarks were reportedly made at an event hosted by the Major Asharam Vyag Seva Sansthan at the Dasna temple, where Narsinghanand serves as head priest.

This police action follows a letter from Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Madani to Home Minister Amit Shah, denouncing Narsinghanand’s comments and urging swift action. Madani emphasized that such hate speech poses a threat to communal harmony, calling for immediate legal measures and the removal of the video to ensure peace and respect among all religions. A copy of the letter was also sent to Ghaziabad Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Mishra.

Narsinghanand, who has faced multiple cases related to hate speech, was previously detained for similar offenses in 2022. Following these developments, “Arrest Narsinghanand” has become a trending topic on the X platform.
