Yogi Adityanath Slams Samajwadi Party Over Cow Slaughter Allegations

Bareilly: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Tuesday, accusing it of links to cow slaughter and butchers. Responding to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s remarks on cow dung, Adityanath asserted that his government has restored law and order in the state.
“Now, all the rioters are writhing like rats but do not have the courage to step out. They know that if they engage in riots, the consequences will be severe,” Adityanath stated at an event in Bareilly.
Taking a dig at Akhilesh Yadav’s March 27 comments, in which he mocked the BJP’s focus on cowsheds while promoting perfume parks, Adityanath claimed the SP abandoned cows and facilitated their slaughter. “The Samajwadi Party gave us the destitute cow. They left cows unclaimed. Their leader says cow dung stinks because they used to hand over cows to butchers,” he remarked.
The remarks have intensified the ongoing political battle between the BJP and SP in Uttar Pradesh, highlighting their starkly different narratives on governance and cultural issues.
Yogi Adityanath’s remarks have sparked controversy, stirring unnecessary disturbances. Critics argue that instead of engaging in discussions on issues like cow dung, the focus should be on the state’s development and addressing pressing governance matters that directly impact the people.
