Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Youth Movement Maharashtra (Aurangabad City) will organise its annual mega blood donation camp on September 5 to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), observed as Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. The initiative has been conducted for the past 15 years and has become a key event in the city’s calendar.
This year, the camp will be held at eight locations across Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar from 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM. The Youth Movement leaders have appealed to citizens to come forward and donate blood. The camp is being organised in cooperation with the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) and several other blood banks. GMCH caters to patients from multiple districts of Marathwada but often struggles with blood shortages.
The Youth Movement representatives have been raising awareness in recent days about the need for blood donation. On average, the initiative attracts 1,500 to 2,000 donors each year. Organisers say the effort reflects the Prophet’s teachings of service to humanity and compassion for those in need.
The eight blood donation sites include Markaz-e-Islami Office, Yunus Colony, Katkat Gate Road, Lal Masjid Town Hall, Kohinoor Lawns Rauza Baugh, Bagwan Hall Paithan Gate, Zamzam Hall Silk Mills Colony, Bazar Masjid opposite Chikalthana, Tipu Sultan Chowk Hinanagar-Chikalthana, and Powerloom MIDC Chikalthana.
The organisers expressed confidence that the people of the city would extend strong support to the campaign, helping save lives through timely contributions.
