Lucknow: A one-day free medical camp was organized by the Zakat and Charitable Foundation (ZCF) in Iradat Nagar, Daliganj. The objective of this camp was to provide basic healthcare facilities to the general public, enable timely diagnosis of illnesses, and spread awareness about health and hygiene.
More than 150 men and women participated in the camp and got their ailments examined. Over 95 people underwent tests for blood sugar, blood pressure, and general health check-ups. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients.
The team of doctors present at the camp included Dr. Farid Ahmad, Dr. Ashraf Najeeb, Dr. Huda, and Dr. Aamir. Dr. Farid stated that many patients came with fungal infections, fever, weakness, and skin-related diseases, which were treated on the spot.
He advised patients to maintain cleanliness, avoid harmful substances like cigarettes, paan, and gutkha, and refrain from consuming fast food. He also emphasised the importance of providing homemade and balanced diets for children.
Zafaruddin Ansari, Farooq Khan, Mohammad Arif, and Asad Ali played a significant role in the successful organisation of the camp.
The Foundation representatives said that the ZCF will continue to organise such free medical camps in the future to ensure that better healthcare services reach the general public.
