Varanasi, Feb. 26: The Zakat Charitable Foundation was officially established in here on Sunday, marked by a significant gathering of religious leaders. Among those present were Mufti Banaras Maulana Abdul Batin Naumani, Maulana Tahir Madani, Maulana Zubair Ahmed Falahi, Asadullah Azmi, and Nayyar Iqbal.

The event commenced with a recitation of the Quran by Hafiz Ismail, followed by opening remarks by Dr. M. Akbar. Maulana Abdul Batin emphasized the importance of collective management of Zakat, urging all attendees to work together in advancing this cause.

Maulana Tahir Madani highlighted the transformative potential of Zakat in alleviating poverty, while Maulana Zubair Ahmad Falahi underscored its urgency in addressing contemporary societal needs. Asadullah Azmi emphasized the spiritual significance of Zakat, linking it to the practice of Salat.

Nayyar Iqbal provided insights into the charitable efforts of the Lucknow Charitable Foundation, illustrating the impact of collective action in serving the community. Haji Ishtiaq expressed his support for the initiative, encouraging active participation from all.
