New Delhi, Feb. 11: Working Journalists Club organized a symposium on “The challenges of print media in the digital era” at Aiwan-e-Ghalib Auditorium here Saturday. The program was organized on the occasion of the eighth Foundation Day of the Club.
The Club honored the personalities associated with and rendering their services in the fields of media, justice, society and politics. Those received the award include former anchor of NDTV India, Prime Time Show Sanket Upadhyay, senior journalist Qamar Agha, India Today anchor Milan Sharma, Dr. Syed Ahmed Khan, columnist and social activist Kalimul Hafeez, Advocate Ayaz Hashmi (of freedom fighter family) and other dignitaries.
Advocate Raees Ahmed was honored with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Award and Advocate Aslam Ahmed of Supreme Court on Record was awarded the Brigadier Usman Award in the presence of hundreds of dignitaries.
On this occasion, renowned journalists and eminent personalities from different professions and positions participated and made this program even more colourful. At the end of the program Amir Amrohi , Club member as well as senior journalist and poet extended vote of thanks.
