Mumbai, October 10, 2023: The All-India Unani Medical Congress (Maharashtra Chapter) in collaboration with the Mumbai Minority Congress Legal Team and Udaan Foundation organized a large free medical camp on the occasion of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
A statement released to the media by Dr. Shafiq Ahmed, President, All India Unani Medical Congress, Maharashtra said a program was organized on “Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for All” as suggested by former MLA and President of Anjuman Islam Gymkhana, Mr. Yusuf Abrahani along with Mr. Qasim Imam, Mr. Saeed Khan, Mr. Nizamuddin Raeen, Dr. Jafari, and Dr. Abid.
A galaxy of doctors and medical professionals, including All India Unani Medical Congress (Maharashtra State) Convener Dr. Nadeem Usmani, Dr. Azim Baig, Dr. Nisar, Dr. Qadir Kazi, and a team of local doctors rendered their services to this program.
Also, on the recommendation of All India Unani Medical Congress (Maharashtra State), some of Mumbai City’s renowned doctors like Dr. Irfan (Cardiologist) from Hiranandani Hospital, Dr. Khurshid Ansari (Neurologist), Dr. Kiran Bhanusali (Rheumatologist) from Supreme Hospital, Dr. Deepak Bhadra (Gynecologist), Dr. Sandeep. Sakpale (Medicine Specialist), Dr. Sanjeev Parekh (Pediatrician), Dr. Samud Bhat (Dentist and Surgeon), Dr. Waseem (Cancer specialist) etc. rendered honorary services.
Dr. Nadeem Usmani announced that cancer patients coming to the camp will be given free consultation by Dr. Waseem at Hiranandani Hospital every Tuesday. In this camp, free Hijama and blood donation was arranged, along with free eye and dental check-ups and medicines. More than 500 patients benefited from the camp.
The local leaders of the Indian National Congress (INC), Shiv Sena, and Nationalist Congress (NCP) also participated in the program. Former Maharashtra Minister Varsha Gaekwad welcomed the doctors. She appreciated the efforts of All India Unani Medical Congress (Maharashtra Chapter) and Advocate Tauseef Ansari, Amjad Shaikh, and Majid Shaikh of Udaan Foundation. She expressed confidence that these organizations shall always be at the forefront of social and community work.
Dr. Nadeem Usmani, Convener, All India Unani Medical Congress (Maharashtra State) said that responding to the appeal from “Islam Gymkhana”, they had organized the free medical camp under the theme “Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for All” in various other cities of Maharashtra like Aurangabad, Malegaon, Dhule, Nagpur and Bhandara. Similar camps would be organized in other cities next year.
