Hezbollah Official Declares Al-Aqsa Storm a Prelude to the End of Zionist Regime

10 July 2024: Sheikh Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Movement, has described the Al-Aqsa Storm operation conducted by Palestinians as a significant step toward the eventual destruction of the Zionist regime. His comments were made during a speech at a Muharram ceremony, where he likened the operation to an earthquake, emphasizing the bravery and sacrifices of the Palestinians as factors that will alter the current power dynamics.

According to a report by Beirut-based Al Manar TV Network and Iran’s IRNA news agency, Sheikh Qassem warned that any form of support for the occupying regime, including verbal approval or silence, equates to tyranny. He stressed that backing the Palestinian resistance is synonymous with supporting the path of justice, while powerful nations that support Israel are effectively endorsing oppression and tyranny.

Sheikh Qassem praised Palestinian fighters for their sacrifices in the struggle to reclaim their land from the occupiers. He also denounced sectarianism, urging Muslims in the region and beyond to reject sectarian thinking.

In a coordinated response to Israel’s full-scale attacks on Gaza’s homes and medical centers following the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on October 7, 2023, Hezbollah, in alliance with Palestinian resistance group Hamas, launched attacks on Israeli military bases in the northern part of the occupied territories.
