Port Blair, Feb. 20: JIH Wimberly Gunj unit organized a special felicitation event to honor the recent recruitment of members from the JIH family into governmental services. The event, which took place at the MIM Hall on Saturday aimed to recognize the achievements of these individuals and celebrate their success in securing positions within the government sector. The program commenced with recitation of the Quran by Mohammed Hafiz Sikander, Imam MIM.
In a heartfelt ceremony organized by the JIH Andaman, a significant milestone was celebrated as selected candidates of JIH Family, for various government sector jobs were congratulated and encouraged to embody Islamic values in their professional lives. The event, held under the patronage of esteemed local JIH leaders, was marked by words of wisdom, encouragement, and prayers for the successful candidates. Altogether 54 candidates from JIH family were felicitated who are also members of SIO, GIO and HumaneTouch.
Addressing the audience, MB Abdul Rasheed, Ex-President of JIH Andaman and Chairperson of Heaven Pre School Andaman, emphasized the importance of gratitude towards the Almighty for providing the opportunity of employment and a means of livelihood. His words set a tone of humility and appreciation for the blessings bestowed upon the individuals.
In his brief address, the Halqa Nazim of Stewartgunj N Moosa, remarked, “Securing employment is undeniably a milestone worth celebrating, yet it’s crucial to bear in mind that your parents require your utmost attention. Prioritizing the well-being of your parents should always remain your primary focus.”
Further, M Abdul Majeed from JIH N/Puram Halqa extended his congratulations to the selected candidates, urging them to be exemplary representatives of Islam in their respective fields. He stressed the importance of continued support for JIH, SIO, and GIO, emphasizing their role in nurturing a community rooted in Islamic principles.
Adding to the sentiments, KP Mohammed Younus, Vice President of JIH W/Gunj Halqa, delivered a concise yet impactful felicitation speech. He commended the candidates for their remarkable achievement among a pool of over 40,000 applicants. Encouraging them to uphold honesty and Islamic values in their professional conduct, he reminded them of the significance of earning a halal livelihood.
As a gesture of appreciation and encouragement, a gift was presented to each candidate on behalf of the JIH family, symbolizing support and solidarity in their journey ahead.
The event also saw the presence of prominent figures such as C Ali Umari, Principal of MIM Madrassa, Jabir, President of SIO, PK Zainaba, President of JIH Women’s Area, MK Amina, President of S/Gunj Women’s Halqa, and MK Ramla, President of W/Gunj Women’s Halqa, further underscoring the significance of the occasion.
An open forum provided for audience to congratulate and guide the selected candidates, concluding with heartfelt prayers led by MK Mohammed, reinforcing the collective spirit of community and faith.
