Jalgaon, Maharashtra, 3 October 2023: The Women’s Wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Jalgaon successfully organized a special “Intellectuals Meet” at Millat High School, Mehron, Jalgaon on Sunday. Women teachers, doctors, lawyers, and scholars of Jalgaon were invited to the program. Around 70 participants attended the program.
The program began with the recitation of the Quran followed by self-introduction of the participants. The local in-charge of JIH Jalgaon Women’s Wing, Nasreen Mehmood highlighted the objectives of organizing the meeting in her opening speech. Indeed, professional women can play a great role in reversing the decline of the Ummah. The need of the hour is to come together on a common platform, leverage their abilities, discuss their challenges, and utilize their resources. JIH Jalgaon, Women’s Wing has a systematic plan for the same. She also mentioned the activities and objectives of JIH Jalgaon Women’s Wing.
Sajida Parveen, Secretary of the Women’s Department of JIH Maharashtra presided over the program. In her address, she praised the qualities, strengths, and skills of professional women and made a fervent appeal to Muslim women professionals to invest a part of their time in Islamic activities and reforming the Ummah.
The participants also expressed their feelings and ambitions frankly and appreciated this initiative of Jamaat to bring professional Muslim women under their fold. They agreed to stay connected with this platform.
