JIH Telangana Political Committee to step up election related activity

The political committee of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Telangana is working actively in connection with the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections for voter enrolment, improvement in polling percentage and for creating awareness.

The Political Committee held a meeting of in-charges of 40 Assembly constituencies at Jamaat’s office at Lakkadkot here.

Speaking on the occasion, Ameer-e-Halqa Dr MKM Zafar mentioned four aspects of this political struggle. He stated that it’s not important who wins the upcoming elections but it’s important that Jamaat-e-Islami emerge to get noticed through election activities. He asked the in-charges to work for voter enrolment, to improve voting percentage, mobilise public opinion and create awareness.

Speaking about the objectives of the meeting, Political Committee Convenor and Maavin Ameer-e-Halqa, Abdul Majeed Shoaib said through this meeting, Jamaat’s election related activity should be stepped up.

The measures decided at Assembly constituency level include public meetings, corner meetings, meetings of ulema and intellectuals, round-table meetings with fellow citizens, door to door interaction, Friday sermons to improve voter awareness, distribution of pamphlets, meetings of Muslim youth, creating awareness among women through women and the efforts to improve their polling percentage.

All in-charges were directed to undertake total and comprehensive planning in their respective constituencies and to make ‘meeqati’ mission of bringing a positive change in the public opinion a success through this electoral activity. They were asked to work tirelessly for the next 25 days and send daily reports of their activities to the Political Committee.

The data centre and IT Cell of the Zone will help in preparing publicity and analytical material.

During the open forum, in-charges asked various questions and presented detailed reports of their respective constituencies. They also made key points about future planning. The meeting was attended by representatives from Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Khammam, Kothagudem, Nirmal, Hyderabad, Peddapalli, Warangal, Jangaon, Bhongir, Zaheerabad and other places.
