Hyderabad, 4 October 2023: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Secretary Shaista Rafat emphasized the significance of respecting humanity and human values as essential elements for maintaining harmony and peace within a society. She underscored that despite differing opinions, preserving these values echoes the teachings of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
Mrs. Rafat made these remarks while participating in an interactive session on “United Ummah – Vision and Mission” organized by the JIH Telangana Women’s Wing at Madina Education Centre here. She emphasized the need for collective and amicable problem-solving and called upon Muslims to actively contribute to society constructively. She further advocated for the right of Muslims to live with honour, dignity, and safeguarding their identity.
The event that lasted for two hours commenced with recitation of the Quran by Dr. Asma Zarzari, City Secretary of JIH Hyderabad. About 50 participants were in attendance.
Khadija Mahween, JIH Telangana Secretary extended a warm invitation to all participants to collaborate in their noble endeavors. The event also saw a warm welcome extended to the dignitaries by JIH Telangana PR Director Ghazala Athar, and JIH Hyderabad City PR Secretary Arshia Mudassar.
